The Summer Creek High School Choir Department is designed to give a well rounded choral education to students. The program offers a variety of vocal performing opportunities for our students throughout the year which allows them to enjoy creating music as well as being musically, emotionally, and intellectually challenged. All choirs focus on students’ music reading skills and singing technique primarily through choral music. Team building and developing relationships within each choir and the department throughout is an important aspect to our artistic medium. In addition to developing their musical strengths, students foster self-discipline, cooperation, and commitment as they are Building BONDS, Developing INTEGRITY, and Demonstrating EXCELLENCE through MUSIC!

These students will be representing SCHS at the Texas Music Educators Conference in San Antonio. TMEA is a 14,000+ member organization.
High school students selected to perform in the All-State concerts have competed through auditions to qualify at the state level. All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. 1,875 students are selected through a process that began with over 70,000 students from around the state vying for this honor to perform in one of 18 ensembles.
Our students will be performing with the All-State Choirs in San Antonio on Saturday, February 14.
TMEA All-State Tenor-Bass Choir at 2:00 PM
TMEA All-State Treble Choir at 3:30 PM
TMEA All-State Mixed Choir at 5:30 PM
All the performances will be in the Stars at Night Ballroom in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. We want to encourage any students who are able and want to support their peers by attending the concerts. Be sure to arrive at least 1 hour early for time to park and to find the performance hall at the convention center. These concerts will be amazing!!
