SCHS Choirs

 Beginner men's choir. 9-12th grades. No audition required.  Meets during the same class period as Vox Fortis. This choir may be combined for some songs and for UIL Concert & Sightreading.

Intermediate upperclassmen women's choir. 10-12th grades. 9th grade only if there is a schedule conflict with Bella Vox. Audition required.

Beginner women's choir. 9-12th grades. No audition required.  

Intermediate men's choir. 9-12th grades. Audition required for returning students. Freshman students are selected via recommendation from their 8th Grade Choir Director.

Varsity Mixed Choir. 10-12th grades. Audition required

Advanced freshman women's choir.  Students are selected via recommendation from their 8th Grade Choir Director or an audition for transfer students. 

Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir. 10-12th grades. These students are enrolled in Chorale and work on this music once a week after school.

Specialty choir (pronounced ko-lah vo-cheh).  Colla Voce is an Italian musical term that literally means "follow the voice."  This choir consists of auditioned men and women.  Colla Voce sings a variety of music including vocal jazz and popular music.

All students in this Choir must be enrolled in Chorale as well as the Colla Voce class. This choir is featured along with Chorale at our annual show Cabaret held on the last weekend of January in the SCHS Blackbox. 

Colla Voce is available for club meetings, luncheons, dinners, and special entertainment events as well as Christmas Parties. Donations appreciated.  Call or email to book your special performance.  Available October thru May only.
