Voice Lessons

Use of District Facilities - How To Become an Approved Fine Arts Private Lessons Instructor

Students are encouraged to take voice lessons, especially if they are serious about developing their vocal talents. Just as any other musical instrument, the voice can be trained and developed with huge benefits from receiving private instruction.  As they help students in developing their voices, private voice teachers in conjunction with the choir directors, will assist students in preparing for All-State Auditions and Solo & Ensemble Contest.  They also help build students’ repertoire of vocal solos that will benefit students if they wish to pursue music scholarships.

Traditionally, students will work with their voice teacher for a half hour every week.  Each teacher will have their own policy for missed lessons, etc.  Students will get the most out of voice lessons if they work on the music that the teacher has assigned between lessons so that each week the teacher can give feedback and help the student improve his/her technique.

We have provided contact information for three local voice teachers for your convenience.  It is not required that you take from these teachers; however, if you choose a voice teacher, please check that teacher’s qualifications to make sure that you are getting adequate instruction.  These teachers are in high demand, so if you are interested, please contact them as soon as possible.
