These students will be representing SCHS at the Texas Music Educators Conference in San Antonio. TMEA is a 14,000+ member organization.
High school students selected to perform in the All-State concerts have competed through auditions to qualify at the state level. All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. 1,875 students are selected through a process that began with over 70,000 students from around the state vying for this honor to perform in one of 18 ensembles.
Our students will be performing with the All-State Choirs in San Antonio on Saturday, February 10.
TMEA All-State Treble Choir at 2 PM
TMEA All-State Tenor-Bass Choir at 3 PM
TMEA All-State Mixed Choir at 5 PM
All the performances will be in the Stars at Night Ballroom in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. We want to encourage any students who are able and want to support their peers by attending the concerts. Be sure to arrive at least 1 hour early for time to park and to find the performance hall at the convention center. These concerts will be amazing!!

High school students selected to perform in the Region 33 High School Concert competed in 1 to 2 rounds of auditions to qualify. Students earned a place in the Treble and Tenor-Bass Choirs in the first round. Students earned a place in the Mixed Choir in the second round.
Students who earned a place in the Mixed Choir will move on to the 3rd round of All-State auditions. The Texas All-State Choir, Band or Orchestra is the highest honor a Texas musician can receive. 1,875 students are selected through a process that begins with over 70,000 students from around the state vying for this honor to perform in one of 18 ensembles.
